As a crazy no plastic toys mom, I got this for my 1 year old on his first birthday mostly because it was made of wood. Turns out that it was a great choice, he loves it and quickly learned how to pull it along behind him laughing all the while. It is very smooth and well made, no splinters will be had from this fish. The string has a safety break in the middle so that it were to be wrapped around something it would pull apart and eliminate any danger and then reconnected afterwards. Overall it is a fantastic toy and a wonderful gift.

I was disappointed to see the length of the "pull string" when this pull toy arrived. It is seriously just as long as the little string in the photo. A walking child would be too tall to be able to hold the string and pull the fish along. And forget being an adult and modeling how to play with it.
Maybe this is meant to be a play sitting down toy.
As far as a wooden toy goes, it seems like decent quality. But the short string is a fail. And the orange paint must scratch off quite easily because even though it was wrapped in extra plastic for shipping, the paint had some scratches through it.

I bought this for my granddaughter, who is turning one year old soon. The theme of her room is koi, so this toy was perfect, because anything koi is VERY hard to find anywhere. My friend found it online on Amazon. Thanks.

I bought this for my daughters first birthday a few months before she turned one. When she opened it at her party another little girl pulled it along the floor and.....Pop! The back wheel came off. Ok so easily fixable with wood glue.... Then about a week later pop the front wheel came off! Solution? Buy another toy or have wood glue on reserve. I wish it came with wood glue. When you buy some shirts you get extra buttons so why not. Hahaha
