By MARJORDA DUABLE WOOD PUZZLE, GREAT CONCEPT FOR EXPRESSING DIFFERENT MOODS - JUST A LOT SMALLER THAN I ANTICIPATED IT WOULD BE.
Cute and easy to useAug 25, 2010
By Ahli's mom I bought this puzzle for my two year old son that is receiving therapy for not talking and some other development issues. He was able to put the pieces together very easily and he enjoys the different faces and clothing that he can change frequently. The pieces are made of wood and very durable.
great puzzle for toddlerDec 27, 2009
By mla we wanted to find a puzzle for our two and half year old that was not too simple (peg or chunky puzzles) and not too complex (a jigsaw puzzle w/ just 6-8 pieces is still a bit confusing for him) - something he could play w/ on his own w/o getting too frustrated and asking for assistance. i first saw this puzzle at his preschool and many of the kids enjoyed playing w/ it (and the curious george puzzle that is similar to this one). so far our child has really enjoyed playing w/ this puzzle at home. we talk about the different expressions and why the bear might be sad or happy, etc. he likes changing the bear's "shirt" and "pants". b/c there are only three slots w/ easily identifiable pieces (head, torso, legs), he is able to focus more on changing the bear's expression and his outfits and feels satisfied when he has completed the bear - as opposed to trying to fit mystery puzzle pieces together to create a picture (too advanced). we do have a melissa and doug jigsaw puzzle set that has some pretty simple puzzles - 12 pieces per puzzle, big pieces - but we definitely have to help him fit the correct pieces together every step of the way - prob more appropriate for when he is closer to three. would definitely recommend this puzzle to anyone looking for a puzzle for their toddler that is beyond the peg/chunky puzzle stage.
Great for home, school and therapy!Oct 31, 2007

This puzzle is both very cute and great for learning to recognize and communicate feelings. I use it at home with my little one. He was delighted to be able to make the bear happy or sad. I also use it with patients in my psychology practice. A nice tool for children with expressive language or social skill delays. Also recommended for use with children who have autistic spectrum disorders.
