 Pretty but assembled badlyMar 25, 2009

I bought this as a gift for my daughter and when she opened it, the first thing she noticed was that the two hide away little drawers were swapped, thus the assembly of the two were done wrong and we can't fix it since there is a tiny screw that is hidden inside so that the drawers cannot fall out. She doesn't want me to send it back since it was for her birthday. She turned 6. She likes it, but tells everyone else that the drawers are wrong.

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter. And she just loves it. She loves the way it looks. And she loves the tune it plays. She had never heard it before and thought it was just right for the Carousel Theme of the music box. I thought it would be alittle larger. But she said she didnt care that it was smaller than her sisters music boxes. She thinks it is beautiful.

This music box/chest is delightful. I have no doubt that my toddler-age grandniece will be thrilled. While the construction of the box does not rise to the level of a priceless heirloom, it's fine for a young child who may not be very careful with it anyway. The revolving horse and "The Entertainer" tune also make a nice change from the ubiquitous ballerina twirling to "Swan Lake" which I wanted to avoid. I'm completely satisfied.

This is a Christmas gift for one of my daughters. It has not yet been given, but it appears to be cheaply made and not worth the money spent. If I can I will try to buy a different one before Christmas and take this one back. It is not nearly as nice as the box that I bought for my older daughter a few years back for about $10 more.

I purchased this music box for my four year old grand daughter, and am quite satisfied with it. The box is attractive, with interesting little boxes and a pretty melody. She was pleased with it, and although she isn't really into jewelry, she fills the drawers with small treasures like plastic worms and beads! It is easy to wind-up and light to handle.
