Decent companions to the trainNov 20, 2010
By K. Mitchell I've heard and read other expectations, but son has had a great time with the characters in conjunction with Dinosaur Train and by themselves; Have held up well and like any small character, at times get misplaced, but so do my car keys.

By Carol Barbour The trouble we found with these dinosaurs was they wouldn't stand up without a lot of work. My grandson still likes them

These dinosaur train characters are so cute - but they are top heavy and won't stand up! Not much fun tying to play with them as they lay on the floor. Also several of ours have black numbers printed on the top of their wings - really takes away from the look of the toy - my 3 year old keeps asking me to take the wrighting off of them. They also are really small so not a good value. I have had better quality items out of a happy meal.

A little disappointed.Jan 11, 2011

My daughter is a huge Dinosaur Train fan, and we bought all of the available characters to go with the train set in October as Christmas gifts. She was very excited when she unwrapped all of them, and she loves playing with it, but there are definitely several downsides. The characters are not to scale with each other and most are too large to be in a car with more than one other. Some of the characters don't stand up well on their own, and some of the characters with smaller feet have their product ID number printed elsewhere on their body (Shiny Pteranadon, for example), which somewhat detracts from the illusion. Overall, though, she still loves it, but I was hoping it would be more than it is. On the plus side, the characters all look quite like their animated counterparts.
I also found the inclusion of Ollie and Orin Ornithomimus a bit excessive, as I did with Delores and Boris Tyrannosaurus, especially considering some characters that were neglected altogether, such as Patrica Palaeobatrachus; Cindy Cimolestes; Rick Oryctodromeus; Arnie Argentinosaurus; Alvin Allosaurus; Spiky Stygimoloch; Hank Ankylosaurus; Bucky Masiakasaurus; Daphne Daspletosaurus; King Cryolophosaurus; The Lambeosaurus Family, Leroy, Lily, Larry, and Lorraine; more Troodons, such as Mrs. Conductor, Gilbert, Travis, The Station Master, and/or The Troodon Official; Cory Corythosaurus; Quincy Quetzalcoatlus and/or Mr. "Wing King" Quetzalcoatlus; Iggy Iguanodon; Mikey Microraptor; The Old Spinosaurus; Keenan Chirostenotes; Arlene Archaeopteryx; Teri Therizinosaurus; and Howard Dragonfly. Not to mention some marine-dwelling characters, such as Mitch and/or Max Michelinoceras, Elmer Elasmosaurus, Carla Cretoxyrhina, and Paulie Pliosaurus, and maybe an accompanying aquacar.
If/when a new line of characters is released, we will no doubt add them to her collection, but we'd also like to see an improved train set to go along with them.

Dinosaur Train 3 PackOct 30, 2011
By Mel12 My 4 year old daughter LOVES these toys. The only negative thing is that most of them dont stand up by themselves even on a flat hard surface. Also dont like the fact that figures are repeated in packs so you end up with heaps of double ups!
