DisappointedDec 29, 2010
By sweet1122 I'm very disappointed in the quality of this product. This would be the same as the other connect 4, with 3 ways to play. I think the whole, different ways to play is just a gimmick. I just really wanted the classic connect 4 game. The bottom row is such a bad idea, it's ridiculous. When you put your pieces in, half the time the fall out because that bottom row is hanging on by a thread. So dumb. And so frustrating. More frustrating for me because I've played the game with the classic version and never had any problems with it, but now the "new and improved" version just sucks. I'm constantly disappointed with manufacturers redesigning things for the worse and charging a premium price for them. I wish I had just saved all the games from my childhood.

Always GoodNov 19, 2010
By MerriSu Great gift for the younger ones on your Christmas list. This was always my sons favorite, now my niece can enjoy an old fashioned family game...no electronics!!

A Family Classic!Jan 18, 2011
By ellen Been a favorite in our family for years. It builds great strategy skills and provides hours of entertainment for all ages on those rainy days or long evenings. Bought this updated version for nostalgic reasons. The kids still love it! Only disappointment is that the bottom bar sometimes tends to shift in the middle of the game and the checkers slide down. You have to start over again. Kinda frustrating when you've got a good grudge match going. But still a family favorite and always will be.

Great gameJan 16, 2011
By leadb37 My kids (3 & 5)love this game, it is nice and sturdy. It comes with several differnt ways to play, but currently we are only playing the original 4 in a row version because of my kids ages. The only concern I have is that in order to play you have to put on the base that holds up the game. When you put the game back in the carton after playing, you have to take the base off again, or it will not fit. It is rather hard to take off. I do this very gently and it takes me a minute. I am scarred that the base will one day break from all the assembling and disassembling. This hasn't happened yet, and it seems very sturdy andwell made, but it is just my fear from that happening with other toys. Hopefully this toy prooves me wrong. Other than that a great game, I highly recommend it!!!

Fun game, but a little flimsyDec 30, 2010

I bought this game because I loved it as a child. I'm pretty sure this version is much more flimsy, though. It works fine, but is a bit of a pain to put together each time you want to play. The bottom row works fine for me, but I could see how it might be a problem for others.
