5There's no reason to hate this toyDec 27, 2011
By Andi
I have read so many negative reviews on this toy - and this was after my son picked it out. He's three (four in January), so negative reviews mean nothing to him. I was so skeptical as far as keeping it, that I actually returned it at one point not wanting to waste money on it, and I was just going to try to distract him towards his other toys. However, it was a door-buster at Toys R Us, so I bought it again thinking that wasting a smaller amount of money wouldn't be the end of the world.

I don't understand the complaints.

This toy is NOT loud. I don't know what others are comparing it to, but they must not have boys or musical toy instruments in their houses. This toy is no louder than anything else, and I don't even think it's that loud comparatively. Drowning out a vacuum? I seriously doubt it.

No, we haven't been able to send two cars through the loop at once, but we've never had a problem with one flying through.

It doesn't feel like the most solid toy in the world, but it's not meant to last forever, and I'm fine with that.

I think this toy is great - and we have a million. It's nowhere near the bottom of the list, and I would buy it again, but the quality is better than other people have said so I don't think we'll need to.

1Wouldn't RecommendNov 30, 2011

I purchased this for my 3 year old last Christmas and the pieces didn't stay together very well at all, which is frustrating for a 3 year old. And it if VERY noisy. I would not recommend buying this item.

2LOUDEST TOY EVER!Mar 23, 2011
By Spa Fanatic
My son loves it...having the trains go thru the loop, Thomas has nothing like this and some matchbox cars work with it as well. But we have yet to have two trains connected go thru the loop successfully as it says it will do. And it is SO LOUD! It is noisier than a vacuum cleaner.

2Loudest toy ever!Apr 26, 2012

The idea behind this toy is good, and it's actually fun to play with. Putting it together is a little tricky, because the instructions don't make it clear where all the parts go. But what makes this toy so awful is that it is so incredibly loud! The decibel level makes this unusable by anyone who isn't already deaf. We bought it for our kid, but even he gave up on it after a few minutes. It "went missing" later the same day, and our kid never asked about it again. I suspect this is what happens to most of these things.

2Not Durable & Super Loud!Dec 27, 2011

My 3 year old son received this for Christmas...and once it was put together (which was a pain in and of itself) and turned on and he used it, he loved it! He kept putting all of his die-cast Chuggington trains through - the only one that didn't make it through the loop was old puffer Pete.

The sad part about this toy is that it didn't take long for my son to accidentally knock into it making the pieces come apart - perhaps some super-glue would help. The other part was the fact that this thing was SUPER LOUD. It was terrible - I could barely hear someone that was sitting on the other end of the couch with this thing on. It was bought elsewhere and we're considering taking it back. Good idea - poor execution. I rated it a two only because it was fun for my son while it lasted.
