We have a number of Calico Critters sets, animals, furniture and accessories. But my 7 year old is really into the baby things. This nursery set (ours is blue) is really cute and comes with a lot of parts.
The crib has a working front rail and a wind up light that rotates a star pattern, a really neat part to the set. There is a feeding chair with a dish, sippy cup, and utensils, a rocker, a mini-chair and toy bear and a clothes rack.
For someone who's nickname was "little bits" as a child, this is right up my alley and probably why my daughter loves it too. There are very small parts but that is what always makes it more appealing to some.
A super cute nursery set to add to your Calico Critters collection.

I bought this for my 4 year old's birthday and she loves it. The little light is really cute but needs to be played with in a shadowed doll house or dark room to really see it. She got a kick out of it because we have the star turtle night light that throws stars on the ceiling and walls so having a doll set that did the same was really amazing to her.
The only thing I dislike about these sets is that they are determined to put in microscopic pieces of paper for play things, it would be that difficult to make the boxes plastic like Playmobil? They basically were ruined the first time the played too rough with them. Which is like, rougher than the pressure of a ladybug on your arm.

As always with anything from Sylvanian Families, this item was not cheap but you certainly get what you pay for. The detail is great and the quality is superb, it really is adorable. That nightlight is something else.

Of all the Calico Critters toys we have this is the ONE! WOW my daughter LOVES playing babies and she LOVES NIGHTLIGHTS. Put the two together and MAGIC.

 2 AAA Batteries Required for this item to runDec 18, 2010

This item requires 2 AAA batteries, not included, to use the light. But, there is no information about needing the batteries, on the webpage. Since it is a light, it should be obvious that batteries are needed or electricity is necessary. Thought I should warn other buyers. Luckily, I looked at the package information before wrapping the gift, so I could include some AAA batteries.
