We were at a locally-owned toy store sale today for items that were either demos or in damaged boxes upon arrival. I let my 3 year old son choose anything from the rack, and this is what he chose! He loves camping and doesn't care that it's supposed to be a girl's toy. (Our dog is a girl, so why shouldn't his new "kitty" be a girl, too?) He loves all the teeny tiny pieces, and even ate his (real) dinner around his "campfire" with Kitty at the dinner table when we got home. Our only complaint is a marketing one. There are three critters in the picture, but only one was in the box. I'm sure there was probably fine print somewhere telling us that, but from the back seat of the car, he'd already begun planning all the cool things we'd do with the little friends before we ever got the box home to get a good look at it. :( Very disappointing. (Luckily we have other tiny animals in the playroom that made a suitable substitute.)

My daughter loves this camping set. Comes with lots of cute accessories too. Needs adult help to tie back the tent flaps.

My daughter got this toy from her Grandparents along with the Calico Critters Camper and Car for Christmas. I have to say that these three sets are her absolute favorites. She loves to take the Calico's, Lalaloopsy minis, and squikies on vacation. This morning we went to the beach, wonder where we'll vacation at tomorrow.

This little set is really cute! Our family goes camping every summer and my two year old is always talking about it so we got her this set to pretend with her little critters. She loves it. Beware some of the pieces are extremely tiny so keep away from very young children, overall the set is fairly durable and has some great pieces.
