Unlike previous reviewers, we haven't had one problem with this toy being too brittle. As a matter of fact, my daughters have been a bit rough with this horse, and nothing has happened. Maybe we just got lucky. Very beautiful.

This is a very cute toy and my 3 year old daughter loves it - but unfortunately the plastic is extremely brittle and a leg snapped off at the knee in less than a week - and this has happened with three other Breyer horses as well. It would be great if they could make them less breakable.

A few years ago my girls fell in love with the Wind Dancers, but as other buyers have noted, they are fragile and ours got broken. My youngest wanted a Kona, but the store stopped carrying them--perhaps Breyer stopped actually making them. I was excited to see that they were available online, so we ordered Kona and Sumatra. Unfortunately, these are pretty and my daughter is happy (she is 7), but a collector would be furious. This is clearly a knock off and does not match the picture shown here or on the packaging. The toy I recieved is in official Breyer packaging but it has bright purple hair with no sparkles, it's body is less graceful, instead of doubled wings, they are a smaller single piece, and the paint job is seriously inferior to an adult eye. My daughter however, doesn't mind, so we will keep it. Buyer beware.

I purchased Kona and one other winged horse as gifts for grandchildren. Although they are charming, they are not very durable. A leg broke after only minutes of gentle hand play. Super glue saved the day but it certainly was a disappointment for all concerned.

"Mama of 2 little ones"
My 5 year old daughter wanted these for Christmas. She loves horses and ponies and was thrilled to get them. We will collect them all I am sure!
