Neat for any Breyer Collector!May 11, 2003
This Breyer vet is neat! She comes with syringe, medicine tub, thermometer, vet case, and stethoscope. This is educational because it teaches how to care for a horse's health and is fun because kids like dolls. However, the vet doesn't stand even on a hard surface and sometimes the joints get loose. The tiny thermometer and syringe are constantly getting lost.

I love this doll! I could play with it for hours and hours! She takes care of all my Breyer Horses!I love how the joints bend. It makes it easier to play with, and funner. Any horse loving person would love this!

Wonderful doll, but don't expect the kit's lid to open. It is a solid piece.Aug 24, 2010
By Holistic Mom
My daughter is enjoying the doll thoroughly. However, she was disappointed that the vet kit does not open. She told me that one of the reasons she wanted the vet doll was because she thought the kit opened. Seems silly that Breyer didn't bother to manufacture it to open and keep the tiny items stored inside. For some reason, they felt it more important to manufacture the lid on the dewormer to open. Also, within an hour of play, two of the three buttons came off of the lab coat. Might want to think about proactively sewing the tiny buttons before they fall off and become lost.
I wrote Breyer with the suggestion of manufacturing a vet kit that opens. I received a prompt response saying they will supposedly consider it. Don't be afraid to write yourselves and suggest the idea as well. You can find email addresses at [...] I'm sure the more consumers who express their desire for this change, the more seriously it will be considered. I also mentioned the button issue.
Other than that, no problems.

Perfect!Feb 17, 2006
By Betsy McConnell
My 6 year old says she wants to be a vet. She wanted a vet doll. I didn't want the Barbie one, it doesn't look professional at all.
But this one is perfect, the coat and accessories! I wish the bag opened to store the small items, but oh well.
My daughter loves it, she plays for hours with it! I also got her the Animal Planet Pet Ambulance and a breyer horse. Granted, the doll doesn't fit in the ambulance, but my daughter doesn't mind.
Perfect for the little girl who wants to be a vet, and the parent who loves educational toys.

Lack durabilityJan 11, 2009

My 9 year old could not wait to get a vetrinarian doll. She opened it up on Christmas '08 and loved it. She has an active imagination and loved the accesseries that came with it. However the dolls hands and feet are hinged and one of the hands fell off after a week of light play. It would appear the DVM needs a DR. She is quite small next to a standard size fashion doll as well.
