Fun battery powered trainMay 11, 2012
By G. THOMAS Our two boys, 4 and 2, love Thomas. We have a large train table and set so every now and then we add new trains. They love the battery powered ones, so I searched on Amazon and found a few. Amazon has the BEST pricing on battery powered trains. They easily cost $22-$29 anywhere else.
As with other Thomas trains, the quality is good and the trains are durable. Our boys drag and toss their trains all over the house. We have stone floors but the trains keep working even after being repeatedly dropped.
We had one battery powered Charlie that didn't have the casing on properly. The screw hole was stripped from the start and couldn't be screwed tight when we put a battery in for the first time. I think it was an isolated incident though. Our other battery powered ones are fine and don't seem to have that issue.
Good purchase!Apr 16, 2012
By Samantha Lopez I got everything on time and it was a great purchase.Just a train for my sons collection. He has about everything so I bought this for him because he like the train.
Another hit!Mar 23, 2012
By Balmaha These battery-operated trains are such fun for the little ones - ours get challenged to see how many trains and carriages they can pull along our kitchen floor (answer = a lot!). This one gets played with on the floor and on tracks - it does have trouble turning tight bends on tracks, but it doesn't deter my kids from playing with it. They just add "rescuing" the train into their game play.
faulty wiringMar 16, 2012
By Brianne Leymaster 2011 Toy Arrived "Broken" I've purchased several battery operated engines, and have many friends who have them too and there is a similar problem with them all. The wires connecting the battery to the motor sometimes disconnect and need to be re-soldered. So when your toddler throws it or drops it off a table and it seems it is broken, just open up the triangle-shaped screws and solder those wires back in place...if you know how. Thankfully my friend was able to help me as this toy arrived "broken." But now it works, and we know to be gentle with it, and know how to fix it if it ever happens again.
Great little engine!Feb 10, 2012
By Sandra G. Fenton If you love Thomas the Train, this little battery-operated guy is strong enough to pull 4-5 cars around the wooden track - even up inclines! It's a great addition to all the wooden cars and trains. It's a classic and will be around for a long time.
