Fantastic Product!May 13, 2010
By J. Becker I am a professional nanny and have used these cards with many older infants and toddlers. We use them to identify different kinds of animals (lay 3 cards on the floor and ask "can you find the monkey?"), learning animal sounds ("here's the monkey - what sound does a monkey make?"), learning colors ("who is wearing a blue shirt?"), identifying facial features ("can you find the monkey's eyes?" - then turn it over to the mirror "can you find (toddler's name)'s eyes?") As kids get older they can be used for the moods/emotions activities that the manufacturer suggests, too, but I have found a million other ways to use them. I highly recommend them to anyone who spends time with toddlers!

Loving the discovery cards!Feb 27, 2009

My grand daughter loves the discovery cards and so do I ; they are sturdy, easy for little hands to handle and very colorful. I know they will grow with her and that is the best investment of all in my opinion.
Education and Fun!

By moving target to be this one my first purchase in amazon of an item such as this one (look at me mirror cards), I was a little disappointed with the quality of the item itself. I am kind of discouraged to buy from amazon vendors again; probably prefer to go to the store

My toddler likes them, but they are not very educationalMar 28, 2010
By Maria E. Ahues My toddler plays with these cards a lot, he looks at them, "talks" about them, but other than that there is no fun on using them to teach him anything. It shows an emotion on some of the Baby Einstein characters and then it tells you to imitate the emotion on a horrible quality mirror on the other side of the card. First of all I don't know how to explain to a toddler to imitate an emotion, and second I don't think they are much interested either. They're all over my car right now, he likes to look at them, but I don't use them at all. My favorite cards are the "my first" cards.
