I paid next to nothing for this item. When it came it has some minor issue with the finish being worn off in a few tiny spots. I believe it was from a few of the pieces rubbing together during shipping. It didn't bother my daughter who enjoys playing with it often. Each piece interlocks together but you must be careful moving it around as it can come apart. That being said, it does set up and come apart easily. So if you don't want to leave it set up all the time, it's a plus. Its great if you live in a small space or your child has a limited play area. It seems to be made of some sort of very thick card board. It has held up very well in the month we have had it.
