good helicopter... & no batteries needed for "motorized" winchSep 26, 2011
By katig This was a gift for my 6 year old. It was easy to put together if you are used to lego-type instructions, and it is a big size, which is nice for playing. No batteries for the "motorized" winch, which is nice! just pull the string and it works. I like that a lot as a parent, I get tired of hunting for / recharging batteries. I saw the reviewer who said it seemed "cheap" or came apart easily - it's really not bad. Not as secure as Legos, but well, it's much bigger - you'd *never* get a lego helicopter this size for anywhere remotely close to the price. This would be like $75 easy if it were legos, based on the size and features. If your child is not the type to just throw/drop their toy immediately, it is totally fine and will stay together no problem. If they are, you would be buying them a already-put-together-fisher-price thing anyway, and there's nothing wrong with that either - but this is a toy for kids who you know like lego/knex type building toys, aged 5+ as it says on the package, and it's a good value.
A decent and fun toyJan 23, 2011
By Jenny Yu A friend gave this toy to my 8 year old son as a gift. This is his first K'Nex set. He is really good at putting Lego sets together so this set is no trouble to him at all. It only took him couple of hours to do so and he really had fun. Although he did complain that some pieces were easily coming off. Once the set was assembled, we both were surprised at how big the plane looked. It was really neat that the little person can be pulled up while the blades on the top swirled. My son loved playing with this set. Overall, I think this set is not as good quality as the Lego airplanes and it is more fragile than the Lego sets. But it is not as bad as the other reviewer described. It looked more realistic (more like a helicopter) than the Lego Creator helicopter when on display. It actually looked very nice due to its size.

Biggest crap everFeb 12, 2010
By Wonyoung Choi According to my 5 years old son it is called "Piece of JUNK."
If you love the person that you are trying to give this gift to then DON'T BUY IT FOR THEM!!!!!!!!!
So poor quality. It never stays together, you get so angry even trying to put it together. It falls apart whild you are building it.
I just had to throw them out in the garbage where they belong to. Sorry to the grandma who bought it and totally wasted her money and my time and patience. But it just doen't qualify as a toy.
I guess the company never even tested their products before they put them out in the market. If they had a single brain cell left in their brian, it is just not posible to believe that somebody approved this CRAP to be in the market.
IT IS JUST NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!
