5we got a bad setJan 15, 2009
By Happy Mom
I saw these cups when I was shopping at Wal-Mart a couple of days ago and decided to get them for my son. They came in a two-pack for $7.32. The only thing I was concerned about is whether or not my son would be able to drink from a cup with such a large spout on it. My two year old is very tiny and has a small mouth. I was quite suprised that by the end of the day, he was actually able to drink from these with no problems. The only problem I am having is that one of the cups has a leaky valve that leaks off and on. It leaks when tipped upside down and sometimes when it is turned on its side, so I find myself watching it when my son throws it down on our new carpet. This of course, won't work to give him his water in bed at night either. The other cup that came with it seemed to be just perfect with no leaking or anything. Then my son casually pushed the cup off of our kitchen table onto the linolium floor as he usually does. I went to pick it up and found TWO CUPS on the floor. The cup had broken into two pieces revealing the inside portion of the cup. I cannot believe they make a cup that isn't Break-Proof for toddlers!! I took them back the next day! Looking at all the other reviews for these, I am assuming that I purchased a bad set?! This is ALWAYS MY LUCK!!

i m not disappointed with the product but rather i m disappointed with the supplier. It was a twin pack as mentioned online but when sent over it is only 1 pack. moreover, there is no more stock so the supplier is unable to make a replacement. most of the parents should understand why i am upset coz now my two kids are fighting over One cup....sigh

5We love this cup!Sep 22, 2010

We got this cup when my daughter was making the transition from a more bottle-like cup to something more substantial. She had started to bite the tops off the softer spouts. So I love that this one is hard plastic (she can chew to her heart's content!) It is also the only cup that has remained leak-proof after many rounds in the dishwasher. Sometimes it makes a sqeeky sucking sound that can get kind of annoying, but I can live with that if it means no milk leaks!!

My house is my niece's second home. It's important you understand this, so you know why I bought it. Now, I got this same cup in a two pack from Kroger. It stinks. Evie can't get anything out of it. Now, she's 20 months old, but just getting into sippy cups. Stubborn that way. Didn't want to give up her bottle, then refused to use anything but the leaky straw cups... Anyway, I digress. Cookie Monster is her current favorite thing. So since we needed some more sippy cups, these were a no brainer. I figured that if anybody could make kids' products that worked, it would be a Sesame Street product. While it is leak proof as advertised, it's also drink proof. I tried drinking out of it, and could only get a few drops at a time. She spent the day being frustrated by it, when she's had no problem with other, traditional valve cups. I'm going to try puncturing the membrane a bit to help, because I doubt they're returnable. They're cute, but don't spend your cash on them. Now I know why they were such a great sale price at Kroger!

1Almost impossible to drink out ofNov 19, 2009

Con: It's almost impossible to drink out of this cup! You'd have to screw the lid on dangerously loose, stick your fingers in both lid holes to open them up, and suck til you turn blue in the face. The result is a tiny tiny stream of liquid. Both me and my 2 year old tried it and had a hard time drinking from it. Occassionally the lid holes would open up just the right way to make sucking easier, but it's not worth the effort if the cup will only work 20% of the time.

Con: Damages easily. The spout is hard plastic which dings easily when dropped or chewed. I already have these rough plastic bite ridges on the spout after just 2 days of use at daycare.

Pro: Somewhat spill proof. A little bit of milk will come out of the air intake hole on top if you shake it upside down.

Conclusion: I wouldn't buy this cup again. I'd buy the Playtex Insulator (9 oz) instead, which I tried and was super easy to drink out of, and seemed extremely spill proof.
