Very Frustrating ToyFeb 02, 2009
By D. Brooks
"MY2SONS"
My 3 year old LOVES the Sesame Street characters and for some time, loved this toy. He got all of the characters for Christmas. The only problem is they constantly fall apart. My son will put it together and begin to play with it and an arm will fall off. Then while fixing the arm, a leg will fall off and so on and so on. After a few times of this, my son starts to get frustrated and then starts to cry. I could understand the falling apart if he was an unusually rough type of child during play time, but that is not the case.
I emailed K'nex customer service and 3 weeks later haven't heard from them.
I guess Santa wasted his money on these toys this year. Buyers Beware!

As someone who grew up with Sesame Street, Legos, K'nex, and Erector, I felt like this was the perfect toy for my 2-year-old niece. Although my she is much more fascinated with anything that has Dora or Spongebob on the label, I find that this Cookie Monster building set is still a great way for us to connect and for me to help teach her vocabulary and how to follow a plan.

Like Legos, only bigger for smaller hands. My 5 year old loves building cookie monster and Mr. Hoopers store. They have loads of fun with it.

Great!Jan 13, 2009

I bought this for my 4 year old nephew who has cerebral palsy, because he needs toys like this to help with his fine motor skills. It is wonderful for him, as well as for my own 2 year old son. My 2 year old can build whatever he wants with the blocks, while his older cousin can build the actual designs. I got this on amazon when it was $7.99 at Christmas and it was a STEAL! It comes with more blocks than a standard Duplo set and has lots of cards with plans to build characters, shapes, etc. Great toy.

My grandson selected this item after seeing it somewhere. He was soon to celebrate his 4th BDay and added the item to his wish list. His eyes popped open when he opened the gift box and looked at the toy. He loves it!!
