I initially gave the 3-in-1 potty a single star because it is poorly made. The rough-cut plastic hurts my son's bottom and the bowl is too small even for my skinny kiddo. Hence the original rating of 1-star.
However, I contacted the company and told them about the way it hurt my child and they replaced it with another first years product. That was great customer service, so I added a star to the product.

I have the plain version of this (no character design). I had owned an earlier potty by this company when my older son was learning and loved it. A cursory glance at the description of this one convinced me I was buying the same thing: not true! This new model is unstable and the top half too easily detaches from the bottom half. The little potty bowl is insanely small and not comfortably designed. My toddler kept thinking it was broken even when it was fitting correctly. It is placed awkwardly in the seat so that it was hard for my toddler to sit himself properly in such a way that all "bits" were over the tiny, tiny pot.
I quickly replaced ours with the larger and well-designed Baby Bjorn potty and we couldn't be happier. Stay away from this mess!

This is really made wrong. It is too small for a 2 year old. The only thing thomas on it is a sticker. Next time I will just buy a regular potty and get some thomas stickers

My son has yet to actually use this for its intended purpose, he mostly hides his bath toys in it! It is very sturdy and the top detaches to fit the big potty, should be very handy.

It is so small he is unable to get his penis inside of the bowl part to pee pee in it, it is impossible for him to do this, even when the option of placing on the top of the real potty. He loves the potty it just is not usable for potty purpose, instead he sits on it in the living room fully dressed like it is his personal TV chair, he calls it his choo choo chair! But I am looking for a new potty chair that he'll fit on. He is not that big either, He is 2 1/2, weighs 35 lbs. and is 36" tall, so he is bigger as in taller than most 2 year olds, but he is not fat. I am thinking of going with the Babybjorn potty instead, I need to really investigate the sizes before wasting more money.
