Better than Lincoln LogsMar 15, 2009
By Ladybug I bought Tumbletree Timbers for my son over a year ago, because when I went to buy Lincoln Logs, I was very disappointed with their quality. They (Lincoln Logs) have many plastic pieces, including roofs (all one piece), windows, and doors. I wanted all-wooden logs like the Lincoln Logs I used to play with! The Tumbletree Timbers were all wood, the roof pieces were slats of wood that you lay on the eaves, just like the Lincoln Logs of yore, not one piece like the modern ones.
I am very pleased with this purchase and will buy more Tumbletree Timbers. From looking through Amazon, I see that Lincoln Logs does sell all-wooden sets, which include slats for roofs, but those sets are much more expensive. Tumbletree Timbers are much less expensive, and hearken back to the originals. The only flaw is that they are made in China, which is why I gave them a 4-star for overall rating. Why oh why won't anyone make toys in America? I would've gladly paid more for either toy if they were made in America!!

VERY SMALLJan 02, 2009
By Thomas Hester The logs are much tinier than I'd imagined. They are the size of regular pencils instead of the normal log size. This is my only complaint. Other than the size, I'm sure they are just like normal.

Don't waste your moneyJul 08, 2009
By Maureen McDonald These pieces are so small, they are hard to build with and they are just not what I expected at all.
Beyond Micro smallDec 23, 2011
By NeilA This product is so small and is a choking hazard. The container for the logs shown in the picture is actually smaller than a can of soda. So, to get 50 pieces in there you can imagine how small these pieces are. Do not buy these for small kids and bigger kids will find it too small !
