3great, love it!May 31, 2010

This was exactly what I was looking for. My son is 3 years old and he loves Thomas The Tank Engine! I wanted to get him a lunch box for daycare that was much more than just a plastic box. A keepsake tin was perfect!

5Great lunch boxMar 08, 2011
By Mom of 3
I bought this for my 5 year old for school, and it holds a fair amount of stuff. My son doesn't go to school full time so, it fits everything he needs...like it fits: a sandwich, a couple juice boxes, granola bar, crackers and raisins. Durable little box. Never opens on it's own, stays shut. I've had it for a month or so.

4Nice Thomas TinNov 19, 2012

This was a nice tin my toddler uses it to store his trains and toys and it can hold a good amount of small cars and trains. Its not as durable as I thought it would be the tin material is a little thin and can dent easily but overall it was a good buy.

Our son is a Thomas the Tank Engine FANATIC. Therefore when we were looking for a lunchbox for him this was the logical choice. I realize that it is not advertised as a lunchbox per-se, but it sure looks like what the manufaturer was going for. I remember having metal luch boxes when I was a child and this is not of the same quality. Those lunch boxes were thrown, kicked and dropped and the structural integrity held up (although the images/paint would scratch off). My 3 YO son didn't even put it through the torture-test that I did with mine as a child. This lunch box is smaller, constructed of thinner tin, and after using it for a month, the latch broke.

4Great box, but did not receive the one shown in the imagesNov 26, 2013

Item came quickly, but was not the box that we expected. I let my 2 year old son pick which box he wanted, and opted for this one, but the one that arrived is depected in this link....

Thomas the Tank Engine : Thomas & Friends Keepsake Box / Lunch Box

Despite the mix-up, my son loves the box. We bought it for transporting trains from place to place. He always wants to travel with 5 or 6 of his many Thomas trains, and this was our solution for getting out the door without any of them dropping. And for that, he loves it! The box seems stury enough, but we've only had it for a day.
