I have given this lowest rating because it is not clear that on line that this will not work with the new Rokenbok system. This only works with older technology and should not be purchased unless you already have the old controller. I wish I had seen something on this before I purchased. Now I am stuck with a vehicle that is not usable with the new system. The site is deciving because they show purchasing with the Sweeper and a remote controller. The remote controller will not work with this unit. I am unhappy with this purchase from Amazon. I can not return because box has sticker that says no return if opened.

Durable, fun, but not for picking loose Roken-balls upDec 05, 2005

This toy, like our other Rokenbok stuff, is extremely durable(after 4 years of use and abuse by my two boys and their friends, not a single Rokenbok vehicle has failed)!
The Skip-Track has excellent traction with it's treads, and is easy for younger operators to maneuver.
The only reason I give it only four stars is that, like the loader truck, it needs something sloped to push Roken-balls against in order to pick them up easily (Some Rokenbok sets come with drive-in ball hoppers that feature sloped back walls for this purpose.)
The only Rokenbok vehicle (that I am aware of so far) adept at picking up loose balls anywhere on the floor is the Power-Sweeper, which is excellent at the task, making that truck my kids' favorite. The Trans-gripper can also grab a ball or two at a time, as well as Rokenbok beams and any other light small items laying around.
Don't forget; you need a Rokenbok starter set if you don't already have one -- and if you are adding on this truck to a starter set you already have, it's a good idea to get an extra remote for this truck to allow simultaneous play of two trucks by two different people.

While the first one didn't work, it was quickly replaced with a new one. Absolutely no haddle outside of a phone call.

These are really fun toys. All the kids get a kick out of scooping up the balls and driving around. Spendy but sturdy and fun!

These little robots if you will are possibly the best toy I have ever seen in my life. The toys provide hours of fun and excitement. It would be a very big mistake to miss out on these toys. They make excellent Christmas and birthday gifts. So please do your kids a favor and by them their first Rokenbok Start Set today. Even you grown-ups and parents will love these little high tech machines.
