My 6 yr old was so excited to receive this spy case, only to be disappointed. First the fingerprint dector pen was white not black, which not sure if you realise it is almost impossible to get a fingerprint using the white rather than the black that the product said it came with. Second the lighted magnifing glass only worked for about 2 weeks I replaced the batteries, but that didn;t get it to work again. My daughter was very careful, and put everything back in its case and one by one the items stopped working (or didnt work from the beginning) or are broken now. Save your money!!

The white fingerprint powder is impossible to use. The flashlight doesn't work at all. The coding stuff could be downloaded free off the internet (in a more useable size). The binoculars distort. What a waste.

Fabulous for a lovely 6 yr old girl, however flash light was damaged on the big Christmas day, luckily Mrs. Claus had also included a another Larger flash light in stocking. The item was refunded very quickly and prompted some great conversation about the Toy Shop in the North Pole, good stuff!!! Products inside case, mostly the cards and flash light could be more durable but for the price Mrs. Claus will not complain and will have a few on hand for Birthday gifts!Alex Toys Spy Case

My 6 year old son LOVES this spy case. He got a lot of ALEX toys from Santa this year and this case is, without a doubt, one of his favorites. Everything about the case is great except for the invisible ink pen (the white pen) and the developer (the black pen). The pens do not have clips on them so they fall out of the case all the time when placed in their proper spot. This is annoying but can be "MacGyvered" by putting the pens in the netting for the fingerprint materials; there is lots of room there.
Santa had to go to quite a few locations in a couple of towns before finding the Spy Case with Amazon. The toy is great. It was worth it the search.
