Although the gift was received with great enthusiasm, for the price the product did not seem to warrant the price charged. It was much smaller than I anticipated. I hope the product holds up to a child's usage of the product. The cost for the item, in my opinion was overpriced. It is merely a piece of colored particle board with a roll of paper.
As the purchaser I'm disappointed but it was well received by the receiver of the gift and her parents.

I have limited space and this is turning out to be the perfect solution. It is used by about 9 children ages 18 months to 5 years and fills their needs nicely.
It was easy to hang taking only about 15 minutes. I need to help them tear the paper or slide it under the plastic bar. I would recommend this to others.

We bought this for our daughter for Christmas. She will be three in a couple of months. The first one arrived damaged, but due to the ease of amazon returns we were able to return it and get a new one. So much easier than waiting in line to return something at the store. Just print the label and give it to your UPS man...get online and order a new one. Refund actually came through the day after we got the replacement. The replacement is great. Easy to hang...a level and cordless drill were needed. It comes loaded with the paper and the cups to hold crayons to a paint (we are not to the paint stage yet). We have not used the chalk board feature yet, but it did not come with an eraser.
Product looks great and our daughter loves it. The mounting system seems to have it securely fastened to the wall. Would recommend this product. And like always, you cannot beat Amazon Prime Shipping.

We were impressed with this product overall. Great colours, roll of paper rolls easily and mounting was fine. The paper roll itself is a smaller width than standard easels.

I wish i loved this product more, but like other reviewers, the easle is a good size, but the paper roll is TOO SMALL, and there is at least 4 more inches is could be wider on this product, making it even more dissapointing. The roll itself, could be another 2 inches wider the way the product is now. There is so much room and so little paper, it doesn't make any sense. none the less, the concept of putting it on a wall, which can easliy be removed and the chalk board are nice, though I think a dry erase board could have also been nice. Sturdy backing and the cups are a plus to store the crayons etc... The paper though rolls down with little force when drawing on the paper, making it s little annoying for my toddler to draw when the paper keeps moving and bunching up... once again, could be remedied if the designers in the Alex company thought a bit. The star that holds the paper, could have a stopper or be a little tighter, the bottom plastic piece that "holds" the paper, is too far from the board, so the paper just falls out... they could have clips on each side to 'hold' the paper better in place etc... I plan on widening the holders for the paper out and getting a wider roll of paper from another company, they sell them 15 inch, 18 inch etc...and the plastic piece on the bottom will have to be fixed too. 12" is just TOO SMALL to be really be creative. I am dissapointed. but will make due with it, pending adjustments.
