Learning to tie shoesNov 05, 2011
By Barbara K. Gold Awesome!! I teach 1st grade. 9 kids this year couldn't tie their shoes. It didn't even take very long. Volunteer grandparent used this and am down to 3 that can't tie yet. Several other teachers have borrowed and had their volunteer help kids tie shoes.

It does the job!Mar 23, 2012
By New Parent This product worked for my child. The foam is thick enough that it is durable, the laces are nice and easy to tie, and I was able to give our cousins two of the shoes so they could take them home and practice as well. Because there are four in the box, we were able to all tie the shoes at once, so it was more exciting for everyone. And the price was right!

I sent this to my five-year-old twin grandchildren for Christmas. They both loved it, especially my grandson who has been having a hard time learning this feat. I would highly recommend this book, which comes with a shoe complete with a shoelace, to anyone who has a child in preschool or Kindergarten.
Alex Toys Little Hands, One, Two, Tie My ShoesApr 02, 2012
By Jill Gilmore We have been struggling with this, mostly because most my daughter's shoes don't tie and my daughter didn't really get it when I explained it. My daughter was in first grade and I hadn't taught her to tie her shoes. 3rd child laziness. My boys are much older and all their shoes tied, so they learned much earlier. Bought One, Two, Tie My Shoes and my daughter had it down the first night. I limited the time the first night we practiced, but she was successful. Went back to it the second day and she was a pro, slow, but had it down. After the 3rd day, my daughter was tying so well, I passed this product on to the teachers at school! Very happy with this product!
Not sure how effective these areMar 03, 2012
By Nonfiction These "shoes" are very cute and colorful. They are well made and should hold up well over use. They are somewhat confusing to explain and the directions that come with it explain shoe tying differently than the way either my spouse or I tie our shoes. I am not sure if it is a new way that kids are currently being taught to tie shoes because it is thought to be easier for kids or if it is just a different method. They have not held the interest of my child at all so they are just sitting on a shelf at this point. I think they could probably work for some kids and we will try them again at some point but they haven't moved us any closer to shoe tying independence.
